They are pretty tough old things. I have moved them, split them into smaller clumps and even neglected them shamelessly but they keep on keeping on. What many people dont know is they are one of toughest palms around for indoor use too. Hope you enjoy them and that they do really well for you.

Whats the best fert to kick them a bit? I have few in a pot about a foot high and they are so slow! :huh:

Perhaps you have the dwarf form which never goes beyond two feet

Hm - it seems to be the regular lutescens. The dwarf form has a lot more dense crown at this size

Are you sure it's a Dypsis lutescens? Look more like a Chaemadorea (cataractarum?).
