Encephalartos ituriensis mated pair.

I have a mated pair I decided to part with, the female is about 6.75" and the male is about 3.5". $800 for the pair. The female will be shipped with chopped or no leaves, as they are too large for a box. Email me at cfkingfish@gmail.com if you are interested.

Thanks,

Christian

Here is a picture of the pair. Male is smaller on the right, female is larger. Female leaves are sunburned, but the cataphylls show signs of a new flush when warm weather hits. The female is closer to 8". Both are offsets from coning plants, rooted well over a year ago, and have plenty of roots. Those are 7 gallon pots for comparison.

Do they mate for life like swans?

No they are like praying mantis, the female knocks the head off with its stronger leaves.

These are still for sale by the way.
