Anthocephalus Macrophyllus or "SAMAMA MERAH" in Indonesian is another big leaf tree that quite ornamental for me. While I plant them for the reclamation of the critical part of my paddy field. Click here my President plant this also :winkie:http://www.presidensby.info/index.php/fokus/2009/12/08/4952.html

The leaf light green and has velvety feel (tomentum), medium thickness, has pink to reddish vein. The color of new flush has copper to brown leaf.

Similar like other tropical trees, need alot of water and sunlight. Any fertilizer organic or anorganic will work well.

Origin: Mollucas and Celebes

Usage: Plywood, Furniture and Building Material

Growth Rate: Very Fast, 12-22cm per month, the plant growth from seedling quite slow need 1-3months stabilizing the root then booming faster. Diameter of the trunk could reach 40-60cm in 4-5 years.
