I have been transplanting dicots for years now and am having lots of fun with these Mahoganies. :D I wish they were Lignum Vitaes. If the economy picks up they will be!

There were 10 trees in this "nursery". The first pic is the after of coarse. The brown leaves will fall off in time and sprouts will open.

That is interesting Ken. I have a jatoba (Hymenaea courbaril) growing at my country place that I want to relocate. It has been cut down a few times and the stump keeps sprouting new limbs. So it is a strong grower. This tree is a large forest tree and is the source of Brazilian cherry hardwood flooring sold in the States. I am planning on digging around it and root pruning it and later moving it. How long would you say I should leave it before transplanting it? That is if my idea is the right one.
