Went out into my garden to do some yanking and pulling, and I found these weeks, and went apo.

It's the vine crawling all over the Dioon. (Okay, it's not a palm . . . )

Anyone know the name of this thing?

It has little tuberous roots, and has proven impossible to get rid of.

You prompted me to try to figure out what that is since I've got quite a bit of it too.

I think it might catchweed bedstraw (UC IPM website has a nice tutorial).

I have a weed like that and it comes up every spring. It has velcro seeds too. When I go in to clean it out I end up with seeds all over my clothes and they do not wsh off they have to be picked off by hand.

I have a couple of those in my yard. They are pretty wimpy weeds if you ask me. The rye grass is one of the worst. It multiply fast and the pollens are horrendous for my allergy.
