Looking for plumeria and orchid wholesalers

For plumerias, check out Jungle Jacks down in SD. Their introductions are gaining quite a bit of popularity among plumeria-nuts for their compact form and floriferousity (is that a word?). But HD also sometimes carries their stock (although usually it's not the most sought after varieties). If you get the rarer stuff then you're good.

Oh, and their plant tags/labels are really attractive too if that helps. :)

When I was a wholesale florist, I bought a lot from this company Asia Pacific http://www.tropicalorchids.net/index.htm I know they sell a lot of wholesale with cut orchids, and they sell plants, but I don't know if they do wholesale plants. Worth calling them to find out as their quality was always top notch. If they don't sell plants wholesale, then they might be able to turn you onto a wholesaler-they might also know wholesale plumeria growers.

Thanks everyone for the input. As for orchids, i see alot of vendors selling them at the goldenwest swap meet in Huntington Beach. Just wondering where are they getting them from, of course when you as them they don't tell you

C-Star is another plumeria wholesaler in Gardena, CA. Their varieties are not that amazing though (and you can also find them at HD). Some plumeria hobbyists think that they are just renamed common varieties.

Jungle Jack varieties do sell fast though. Case in point, at one HD down near Riverside, I noticed a whole pallet of Jungle Jacks right next to C-Star's plumerias (the JJs were 3 gals and C-stars were 1gal and way cheaper). I come back 1 month later to pick up another variety I wanted (Whirlwind)...but most of the Jungle Jacks were gone and only a handful few the "Common Rainbows" were left. They seem to have enticing names like Honeypot and California Sunset and like I said, they really attractive labels and pictures that makes customers want to grab them up. I thought that was quite amazing considering a lot of the stuff at the HD just sits there and hardly gets bought.

There is South Pacific Orchids up north. And a few other orchid sellers down in SD. In fact you can even see one of them around Carlsbad driving down the 5. And from what I read on forums, a lot of eBay vendors get their wholesale orchids from Oak Hill Gardens.

Trader Joe's always seems to have a nice selection of orchids. Maybe swing by there and see who they are getting them from.
