The Brahea super silver I'm growing has taken my winters without any signs of damage. It has been exposed to temps down to 20˙F . I believe the key to getting these going is to start with a 1gal or larger. B armata is also doing great, it's planted on a raised bed and hasn't shown any signs of not liking the humidity that I have. Maybe I got lucky and planted them in a good spot, time will tell. The B sp silver has been in the ground for 2 1/2 yrs and is starting to p//up speed in growth after just sitting there for 2yrs.

Its strange, they start green and after some years they turn into silver. Well they do very well in the Algarve as those pictures show. Its a stunning species.
