Hi,

Today I found this mold-like grey substance on my acalphia leaves, both up and undersides. They are in a sunny position and seem to be growing fine. I sprayed them today with copper fungicide to try to rid them of this thing. Does anyone what it is and if so, why it is here and what to do about it?

Thanks

Seems like Powdery Mildew. Evaporated milk (mixed as directed) should cure it. High Humidity brings the spores into full bloom. The amino acids in the milk kill them. With all my Tillandsias around I cannot use copper-based fungicides.

Thanks Gonzer. It is very dry and humid here and this favors powdery mildew. I mixed copper fungicide with water and sprayed it, but had no idea about the dosage so just put a teaspoon of it in a spray gun of water. The mildew looks foul!
