How long have you had that in the ground? Based on the trunk diameter it looks like not too long. If so, I would suggest you start with "superthrive" to get it ready for winter's shock.

Looks good Alex! Very pretty leaves on them when they're at this age. Where are you located?

Not very long maybe a month or two. I got this one form a local home depot. Thanks for the advice. Were can I find some superthrive?

Not very long maybe a month or two. I got this one form a local home depot. Thanks for the advice. Were can I find some superthrive?

I have seen it at home depot, but its not always there--I recommend amazon.com since it is cheaper there. Just add a capfull to 2 gallons of water and feed once a week for at least a couple months. That should help to get it rooted in its new home and prevent shock.

I have 4 foxtails, two are from Home Depot, both are taking a couple years to acclimate but slowly coming around. I live near the coast and they really hate the cold winter air, hopefully yours has some protection.

Thanks I am going to look for it. I see the new spear trying to come out, but still lags more than other palms to pull out. Maybe with the superthrive it will do better. Its got some protection around other homes next to it, since I live in a Mobile home park, the area around the foxtail is box around. Thanks again for the advice.
