While this is a common enough species here in south Florida, the fiber on the leaf bases seemed different to me:

Andy the palm's species was plastered right across the bottom of the photo but nobody bothered to look !! :floor:

If this wasn't in South Florida I would guess Parajubaea torallyi. This being in S. Florida could it possibly be a Cocos x Butia?
