Just came home from the HIPS BBQ. Great event. Don Hemmes is the new HIPS President. Total of 125 people attended, and plenty of palms were auctioned off. Was too busy paying attention to take photos, but I did get this evening shot before we got started. The event takes place in the big pavilion in Wailoa River State Park, less than a mile from downtown Hilo. As can be expected in Hilo, this is a very peaceful location, and this photo is proof of that! :)

Paul,

Sorry, no more photos. As you can see, I did bring my camera, but the simple truth is that I got too busy & sidetracked enjoying the company of all the HIPS members & guests to take any more photos. Will make sure I take photos on our "regular" garden tours here, though!
