A few weeks ago our 12yo Wallichia Disticha decided push out 3 peduncles at once to be a real show off at flowering. They are currently 6feet long. The genus Wallichia are very spectactular in flower. Enjoy. Pete

Mine is seeding now. I can't believe the weight of the rack and how many seed is on it. I seen a little black fly pollinating the flowers, not bees.

When I look at my tiny one I'll now envision your glorious one in bloom! Thanks for the photos!

Cool pictures Pete, sadly they look terrible 11 months of the year here.

Cheers All, this palm certainly relishes heavy soil and full sun, the others in deep soil or shade look crap. Peachy, when the seed is happening i will gladly grow you a few. Amazon exotics, thats interesting about the black fly, the inflorescence on our cyphophoenix elegans is frequented by a lot of blow flys. I do remember Gregs (Palms4Bris) flowering Wallichia with the small native bees gorging themselves.Rich these palms can withstand very cold conditions but really love full sun hope yours picks up.
