Check this out, one of my D.pembanas formed another growing point and the leaves opened at both points, spectacular action at the mana.

Point A (pushed by another spear, see o'er yonder pembana is also opening a leaf. Pembanas are great growers for me.

I have this entire area patrolled by brown shirted chooks so no need to worry about somebody coming along and stealing my pembanas, no siree.

Also seen here patrolling the red triangle, foxtails, Livistona decora and baby Archo with Royal . I trained these chooks myself so invader beware.

those palms are livin' 'pest free' with them birds around! :)

my buddies swears by 'em to keep fleas and ticks at bay...

hens only though. roosters make too much noise... :angry:

Thanks mate and thanks other posters, those palms you refer to are in fact big brother Wodyeti bifurcata, the foxtail palm of Cape Melville. Those Dypsis lutescen clumps were there when I moved in 21 months ago.

The ratpack and other palm society dudes are gathering today so be on the lookout for some more palmified pics from down yunder.
