Today I noticed my largest Livistona decora has flowered for the first time. I took these photos in the glow of the western sun and a gusty wind. Is this palm dioecious?

Meg, Interesting that your L.decora is flowering now. My decoras always flower in the spring and never have set seed in 5 yrs of flowering.

I have seed on one of mine after about 3 years of flowering but the other two nothing.

With a tin cup for a chalice

Fill it up with good red wine,

And I'm-a chewin' on a honeysuckle vine.

All the ones I see around here are monoecious. Prodigous seed-makers, these!

They are locally native here and flower and seed just about year round.......they are definately monoecious.
