Bill, tht is a great looking palm.I have a small one that has not formed a trunk yet. They look like giant Rhapis on steroids.I just wish they grew faster.

El Oasis - beach garden, distinct wet/dry season ,year round 20-38c

Las Heliconias - jungle garden ,800m elevation,150+ inches rainfall, year round 15-28c

Hi Bill

A well grown specimen, did not realise they where a robust as that, had one in the ground for 3 years and it is very slow for me. How old is this one?

Colin I am not the best with keeping dates but I would say from seed 13 yrs. give or take a yr.

Thank you for replying, the growth is impressive.

I am not sure if i do not have enough heat for mine or it requires higher amounts of water or a different fertilizer.May i ask what temperature range you have and annual rainfall?
