Amazing, how many different species (and even very tropical ones like Pritchardia pacifica) are grown successfully in Taiwan. I thought taiwanese climate would be rather cooler (temperate to sub-topical). What about Arenga engleri? Haven't seen a single photo of it in your post, although it's native to Taiwan.

I used to go to Taipei every year for business. I loved the rows of tall Roystonia regia along some roads, with grass in the middle. Really beautiful.

I also went bush to see Arenga Engleri in its native habitat.

I do miss going, as its been a few years since I retired.
