I talked my neighbor, ad friend, directly across the street from me, into planting five of the cold hardy palms, about 4 feet off the city line, (curb if there was one) right in a row 8 feet apart, I'll do a separate thread for each one, when I can, these palms are all courtesy of Eric the botanist at Leu Gardens, (wait until you see the S. miamiensis he gave me, and no It is still in a pot, and priceless to me), it wasn't this red when he planted it, and by the way I want to thank Raymond for doing such a fine job, he ran a string line off the surveyors marks, and everything, this palm got real red after 3 weeks, full sun from 10 until 2 at least, moderately watered, with fert. in the bottom of the hole, the sun is so strong if it were a Dypsis it would be almost dead, Ed

Received this as a gift from Eric, the botanist at H. P. Leu Gardens, in November 2011, I don't know how old it is, but it's been in ground for about 130 days, Ed
