Nice pics of a wonderful Palm, why does a Dypsis of this size and Jeffs which is much larger " Not Yet " changed its leaves to" Plumose with a good 2ft of petiole?? My guess and thoughts is that this palm is actually Tsaravoasira...Until Jeffs flowers and the "New POM Book " is out, this Dypsis I think is still a bit of a mystery..

Jerry, Cool looking palm! I don't think it is D. malcomberi. However, I did see this palm in habitat. It was growing in the same area as D. malcomberi. I have a picture of it about the same size. D. malcomberi has meally spots on it as a juvenille. Also is a more robust palm. My humble opinion!

Thanks Jerry,

Nice to know what mine will look like in a few years. I have one that's been growing very well here (posted photos in another topic).

As you can see, you might want to start adding some more fertilizer because mine is thriving and growing very fast and may pass yours up any day now Jerry! Most people start with palms in the pot and then go and plant them into the ground, but I feel bad for you guys struggling to grow this species so I've moved mine back into the pot to give you a fighting chance. You're welcome.
