Hi Everyone, There is a BPACS outing this coming Sunday, the 26th of August. This will be a great day with a visit to a very well established palm garden in the Tweed Valley (apparently with trunking Verschaffeltia splendidas), followed by a visit to Kris Kupsch’s (Burringbar Botanical Gardens Nursery). Kris has a native rainforest plant nursery stocking many treasures, including palms, plus several hectares of display gardens. Kris has also kindly offered to fire up the BBQ as well!

We will all meet at Tumbulgum Tavern on the banks of the Tweed River at 10:00 am before heading off in convoy to Kieren’s garden at Condong.

To get to Tumbulgum Tavern, head down the Pacific Motorway (M1) and take the Murwillumbah turnoff (Tweed Valley Way). Turn right into Riverside Drive and follow the river until you get to Tumbulgum Tavern (134 Riverside Drive).

We will wait for a short while in case anybody is running late.

On the way we will pass Stott's Island, the remnants of Littoral Bangalow forest...
