This is what I'm hearing as well. For any palm vendors wanting to sell palms, they will be at the Ramble. I suspect very few will and a selection of palms and cycads much, much smaller. I plan on being there selling, palms, cycads, crotons and bromeliads. The booth space is vey expensive, so vendors will limit themselves greatly with what they bring. I had just under 400 species available at the Extravaganza sale going on now, but I will be bringing far less to the Ramble.

That's unfortunate. I'm assuming it was because of the low turnouts mentioned in recent years? Or is there another reason? Will the spring sale still happen at Montgomery?

I'm not sure if we will be there. We are talking about doing what Jeff is doing. Buying space and bringing different plants, as well as palms and cycads. Ken can you update the situation? As for the spring sale that should still be at Montgomery.

Sad state, but we have mentioned before between the economy, fewer palm collectors, and the simple ability of ordering palm seedlings online, have just about caused the extinction of the palm sales and crowds we've seen in the past.

If they were to discount the admission price for the sale it would help.

It's official, I spoke today to a young lady at FTG, and SHE did state that there will not be a Palm Society Sale this fall. For anyone looking to buy palms, the Ramble will offer them. Not sure on who will be selling though.
