Curious if anyone that purchased the seed that Alberto in Argentina made available from Rare Palm Seeds has any plants to sell.

I got few seeds just one year ago from another source together with Butia Microspadix, but I still have only seeds by now. :(

Damn Paul and Giovanni,

Sorry to hear you didn't have any luck with these. Hopefully someone has some to sell or trade. Should've picked up some seed when it was available.

I bought 10 seeds and 2 germinated. Seedlings look like weak... Don't know if they need more water or not.

I bought 20 seeds of this one and had one germinate. It has been growing very slowly

Good luck with it. If you get tired of it I'll take it off your hands :winkie: .

I´m also very curious about the seedlings obtained from my seeds.

My germination rate was about 40% using Collingbourne method, (a lot better then my Butia eriospatha x S. romanzoffiana, that was low also for me)

Carambeí, 2nd tableland of the State Paraná , south Brazil.

Alt:1030m. Native palms: Queen, B. eriospatha, B. microspadix, Allagoptera leucocalyx , A.campestris, Geonoma schottiana, Trithrinax acanthocoma. Subtr. climate, some frosty nights. No dry season. August: driest month. Rain:1700mm

I am seeking for cold hardy palms!
