The first night of this event crapped on my house. It rained before midnight then hit 32f. I look out side and see frost. I go outside and notice all the water drops I'm seeing are solid ice! Oh happy days. Enjoy.

Keep in mind this is all ice.

Yeah, I was in La Mesa last night about 10pm and was shocked to see rain! Dry as a bone up Oceanside way..

I do some experiments and learning in my garden with palms so you don't have to experience the pain! Look at my old threads to find various observations and tips!

Heard you guys were getting hit with the cold. Hope the damage isn't that bad. We're north of you and have been having what I've come to know is typical morning frost for our area (our cars sit in the shade in the a.m. and need scraping off). Weather reports were to expect 28 last night so stood outside all bundled up at lunchtime yesterday hand watering the palms so they had some protection. I think we have some colder weather coming later in the week. Can't wait for spring. Our decorative pear tree is in bloom. Seems so out of place.
