For all you radio fans, I found a great channel at: http://www.kctunes.com/

I'm listening to KC Tunes 12 hours a day, and after 2 weeks, I've not heard a track played twice! Not bad, for a one-man outfit sharing a CD collection pooled between a few friends. There's often live recordings of some classic tracks too!

Thanks John, a lot of stuff I haven't heard for a long time. Back in pre-history, music was on big, shiny plastic discs. The paper sleeves were Art ! :winkie:

I used to get all my albums out onto the floor, spread them out and just admire the art, whilst listening to a few of course for background art appreciation music.

Thanks, Bill, Matt, Paul, Darold, Wal - et al. ;)

Wal and Darold, that's funny you should bring up album art. I only started listening to KC Tunes after buying myself an Android phone recently (my first ever smartphone). I'm using the "tunein" app which with KC Tunes, grabs the album cover of every song played, without exception. That's a real bonus, since I know a lot of classic rock songs, but never bought any albums in my youth. Bad Company, Santana, Canned Heat, Stevie Ray Vaughan - "Voodoo Child.." as I write.. not a bad playlist tonight!

Hi John, I have the app "Shazam", that also finds you track info, album art etc. It's fun for the music nut within us.

I'm discovering a lot of US rock bands via KCTunes, Wal. They seem to play a lot of Styx - interesting sound they have. Kept thinking I was listening to Rush or Yes, then you hear tracks like "Babe" and you think you're listening to Dean Friedman! Weird. I've decided I hate Van Halen. Love all those story-telling songs that seem to spring up in US music; Harry Chapin's "Taxi" for example. Not to mention George Thorogood's version of One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer. You realise this topic is an open house to discuss any classic rock song! :D
