Hello everybody,

I've just read the topic about music and plants. They say, that the classical music has a good effect on growth of plants, more leaves etc... Does anyone has the same experience? Thanks for reading.

idk about classical music but whenever i play Justin Beiber i get a few spear pulls.

But my palms respond well to Led Zeppelin, Creedance Clearwater, Toots and the Maytals, Dick Dale, Pearl Jam, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, The Cure, Guns N Roses, Rob Zombie, and occasionally some Snoop Dog.

Palms will grow well to whatever music you like. So turn it up and enjoy! :D

Welcome to Palmtalk btw!

Grasswing, when first hearing about classical music having positive effects on babies, especially music with a heartbeat rhythm, also having a positive effect on animals, I went ahead with trying it on my dogs and cat. It is positive! Or maybe it's positive on me and that's what is good for them. But I think the plants on my back patio respond positively, too. I have two Licuala grandis on my back patio.....purchased last August. They were in 10 gallon nursery pots, and 50% off because they were so torn and tattered and limp. Maybe they're my zone or not...I think we are the edge, and was just willing to try....chanting, please don't die, please don't die. They've given us four new fronds, and pushing up more. We pretty much play heartbeat music 24-7 on endless loop setting. This is not scientifical, and results are most likely a big honking luckadoodledandy. Now chanting c'mon spring....c'mon spring.

There are several mature Wodyetia bifurcata in my neighborhood--that helps determine my zone, right?

Whoops. I just went out and counted the fronds. It's three, not four.
