I keep meaning to post a pic of this, But I noticed the city of Encinitas, California planted this bad boy at least 6-9 months ago, I never seem to have a Camera ready when I'm nearby.

I'll try to get a better pic someday.. this is a start. :D

I do some experiments and learning in my garden with palms so you don't have to experience the pain! Look at my old threads to find various observations and tips!

If you had known about it right after it was planted, you could have pulled it out of the ground and put in the back of your truck without anyone knowing.

That's what I was thinking. That's a great specimen, but I can think of about 10,000 better ways for the city to spend that. Nearly every city in San Diego County is on its way to being broke, and I doubt Encinitas is flush with cash.

Cool Bill. Encinitas has quite a few folks who're willing to donate cool stuff for enhancements. Their old Parks Director is now our head honcho. On a sidebar, Don Hodel came by my planting at the end of town to check on the viability of moving ALL the palms; Chambyronia, Bismarkia, (Ravenala) and the A. purpureas. He said my purpureas were the best specimens he'd ever seen in California. Talk about a kick in the butt compliment!
