Not much of a Cloudforest this year, we're in drought mode, no major rain since December. This is the worst drought I've ever seen.

Here is one of my younger p. cocoides seen from above on the hillside:

This is a caryota sp. unknown that was supposed to possibly be a cool growing clumper, so far, no suckers. Looks just like the run of the mill urens. Still a nice robust and hardy palm, though.

This must be a mild spot, top of the hillside, Ensete ventricosum got only minor burn given that the weather Station in the orchard below registered a 28.5F low. But no, ensete leaves are definitely not hardy to 28F.

Another Cocoides next to my butia. The butia made a lot of fruit this year, they are yummy.
