I just planted a Psychotria poeppigiana, Hot Lips Shrub here. It is native to forested areas from southern Mexico to Peru and Argentina. I don't know how cold hardy it is so we will find out. There is a native Psychotria here, P. nervosa, Wild Coffee. It was donated last year and has been in the greenhouse over winter. It has flowered nonstop so far.

Nice photos Eric. I've seen this plant many times during hikes into the rain forest.

I am aware this is an old thread but does anyone have access to this plant. I've been looking for this Psychotria for 2 years now and only hit dead ends. The seeds being offered on eBay or all fake and I ended up with a mint family plant.

I'd be interested in seeds or fresh leaves... Please PM me if you have this plant or can help me attain one. I know this is a palm forum but this plant has eluded me for too long.
