Must be very exciting! Hopefully you'll be able to harvest some viable seeds from it! :)

I'll be trying a technique that I've tried on another Mapu which

is hanging onto 13 seeds at the moment and with some luck I'll

be able to get this one to hold onto a few as well

Wow that is exciting! I've never seen a mature mapu, does it have a trunk or are they able to flower when quite small?

It's had a trunk for a while but you'd expect that after 14 years

Not bad! I was in the process of ordering a batch of advanced seedlings thought it might make an interesting ground cover. Can you tell me +- the eventual spread of one of these?

I think mine have a while to go before I can even start thinking of flowering. But they're in the ground and seem quite happy. Here's to 10 or so more years of happiness at least.

Thanks Rhapis so they would actually remain a ground cover for quite a while. One meter is a good spread, do they get this spread before putting on a trunk? I will take a look at "planet Rhapis" are you a nursery?

They get a 1 metre spread long before they get a trunk but that

is as big as they get and I just grow them in my backyard
