If this trend get a foothold, it may spell troubled times for Bamboo growers.

If running bamboo isn't banned in FL it should be. I don't know of any nursery that sells it but I would ask in any case. That stuff is evil. My son in MD bought an old house that has it invading his back yard. He has to hack it back.

Well, I can see both sides.

You can't have a slaughterhouse or a whorehouse in a residential 'hood, nor can you have (or should you have) a factory making, say, nitro or explosive fertilizer. Why should running bamboo be any different? The only real difference is the degree and type of harm. In all cases the harm extends beyond the immediate property.

That said, I can also see law enforcement running amok on this one, too.

I can see SWAT Teams around the country, stocking up on 2-4-D already.
