Another Drive by Shooting in Cerritos, CA.

Syagrus on the left is the common queen.

What species is the one on the right?

The individual leaflets seem to be in a

single plane and shorter than the common queen.

Please advice.

Greatly appreciated.

Cheers

I am seeking for cold hardy palms!

It's a common queen palm. There is a lot of variation in leaf, growth rate, trunk diameter, hardiness, and nutritional need within that species.

De verdad?

Honestly, its the first time Ive seen that.....

Out of curiosity, would the seeds/offsprings grow the same form,

considering there are 2 other regular queens nearby.

Learning something new everyday.

Thanx.

The only way the seed would be exactly the same as the parent would be if it were a clone--that's not the case... Siblings are from the same mother but often look different.
