Its very slow growing. A corypha would be a good alternative.

Actually, Alexander, If you read my earlier posts about Lodoicea (last year and 2012) you'll see pictures of the same young one here (..993) and I find it grows nicely in srilankan climate.

I Love Corypha and you'll see new pics soon: they belong to the srilankan hill country landscape and singhalese old traditions and culture.

I fear the double coconut will be stuck forever on my wish list, but who knows? Wonderful photos! I never tire of seeing these.

Sounds like a good idea to me. We could just send them a link to various wish lists and then they could concentrate on filling our "orders" by collecting seeds (legally) all over the world?
