This species has rocketed up in the last two years. It is also known as P.robustior I think. It gets rainwater runoff from the downpipe so this obviously has played a part in it's great growth. Love this palm.

This shows the top leaf and the bottom stems.

What sort of size was it a couple of years ago?  A comparison photo would be great, if you have one.

I only have macarthurii, which I am hoping to keep dwarfed through lack of light, as I understand the natural ranges show greatly differing growth habit based on light levels.

Very nice Wal. It's always good to see something growing strongly and fruiting. I've never heard of this species. Looks like a big macarthuri. Very nice.

I've marked a blue line showing approx how tall this palm was when planted about 4 year ago.
