On my morning walk saw this and thought some might like to see caryota obtusa flowering. We had a storm last night that knocked down the fron covered with pollen .

Pretty cool to look at and enjoy, but I'm pretty much done planting Caryotas in the yard.

Me too this is going to be a challenge to bring down with out damage to other plants . Thats the problem with these big caryotas after seeding :rant:

Bill it looks like it will be raining down seed pretty soon. Fezz, aka "yellow beard" looks like he likes the pollen. He has the look like, what happened here last night.
