Absolutely SHOCKED at Washingtonia growth!

I recently bought two W. "filibusta" on ebay...about two feet tall. They came in the mail last week, and I potted them. In 5 days, the newest frond in the center of each palm has grown two inches. I'm completely astonished. I mean, I knew these guys were fast, but this is unbelievable! I guess it's a good thing, cause the existing fronds on one of the palms are dead from transit, so it's nice to see some new growth! How about you all? What palms have surprised you most in terms of growth speed?

I would have to say Livistona Decipiens "Decora", because I had only grown Chinensis before and it is not the fastest palm that I have ever grown to say the least. The Filibuster hybrid is a beast though; if you give them enough nutrition you can almost sit outside with a glass of lemonade and watch them get taller. :)

Lol! I'd love to be able to grow Livistona here, unfortunately, there is no way it would make it here in zone 7...I'm gonna have enough trouble keeping Washingtonia alive...Right now, they're in pots in the window...can't wait to get them in the ground in a couple weeks!
