Attalea are to me some of the most stunning palms in the world...and its strange they dont cause as much excitment as Dypsis because quite honestly they are almost as varied and certainly as stunning if not often much more so. Truly some of the worlds greatest palms or living things.

I just wish growers sold seedlings of even just a few of the more spectacular ones.......sigh Dypsis mania, I suppose these things come and go in cycles.

Everyone should have at least ten :) (avenues)

This palm is at my place and was grown from seed about 30 years ago. Pete, I will try to get a picture of the entire palm , it's hard because of the size .

Some impressive Attalea amydalina at Palmatum, Townsville FNQ. I took these pics back in April this year.. Those seeds look tempting !!!
