Haven't seen many dead or dying fronds that were very appealing until I saw this Bentinckia nicobarica frond that dropped in the garden. The color was absolutely spectacular. Does anyone else have a favorite dead or dying palm frond?

Yes, Chambeyronia leaves are a nice medium brown, colored and textured like a nice piece of leather. Alas, I shredded one yesterday before I remembered to photograph it. But, there will be many (many!) more to come.

Dave is right. The Chambeyronia displays a nice dark maroon leaf when dying. Color when new and color when dying. Happen to have one in the garden with the great dying color.
