Yummy, yummy

I love them all. Unfortunately most of them are still on my wish list because I haven't been able to find them. I'd like to PM you to find out where you got them. OK?

Oliver, thanks for postn.... your P speciosa looks just like my 1 n only...unhappy..Im wondering if our/yours is P batanensis ?? because of the lack of colour and huge fronds/leaves..only time will tell.

Oh, Love all the other additions :greenthumb:

All of them I'd count also to my favourites (if I had them). Unfortunately I only have Pinanga speciosa and Sommieria (elegans) from the pictured species.

Is the substrate entirely consisting of lava crumbs or only the topping? Looks like the plants are thriving in this medium...maybe I should change to that in order to reduce my palms' mortality rate.

Judging from your member name, I'd guess you had Birthday recently (in this case, belated bon anniversaire!) and were born in the same year ;-)

No, that's speciosa. Mine and others look just like it. Color will come eventually.

No, only the topping. Under the lava crumbs, there is a traditional mix with garden soil, compost and organic fertilizer

Without any further suspense, here is my Pinanga speciosa--I planted it in the winter and it didn't like that, but it's been acting right for a while now.
