To finish this tour of Andasibe, I suggest you to discover this time Mitsinjo Reserve, a forest managed by Mitsinjo Association that is specialized in preservation program of frogs of the genus Mantella .

We have seen once again amazing palms including:
- the rare Ravenea louvelli, known only in this place, and present in the reserve in many specimens
- some majestic Ravenea dransfieldii and Dypsis pilulifera
- and finally, again a big Dypsis subadult that is for us totally unknown ..

Wow Olivier, fantastic pictures as always. I had to smile seeing the gigantic Ravenea dransfeldii, The largest picture I've seen of one previously looks to be about 2 meters tall, so I assumed it was a smallish Ravenea. Not quite!

It's good that Dr. Dransfield has a monumental Madagacascar palm named after him.
