Sending warm palm-filled wishes for 2015. This morning I took these photos of my tropical container garden on my back lanai. Most of these guys will not be planted until they grow too tall. Some of them (Areca macrocarpa, Cyrtostachys) have already spent a number of days inside because of our chillier than normal November. Right now we're having a mild spell but they still have to get through 6 weeks or more of winter.

First up is my small container garden. Orange tape on some palms tell me they are exceptionally cold-sensitve and should come in if temps fall below 50F. The rest are OK down to around 40F.

Happy New Year, Meg. What a great collection of little gems! I hope they all make it through winter and you can enjoy watching them grow the rest of the year.

Peter & Peter happy 2015 to both of you.

And yes, current low now predicted at 44F but keeps sinking. So yes, my little tropical darlings come in tonight. I got lots of practice last Nov.
