I had recently removed the fronds on this Cycas angulata due to a moderate Asian scale infestation and about a month later it produced the most massive flush I have ever seen on any of my cycads.

El Oasis - beach garden, distinct wet/dry season ,year round 20-38c

Las Heliconias - jungle garden ,800m elevation,150+ inches rainfall, year round 15-28c
