Very worried about my wooly jelly palm

I bought this palm from eBay not long ago and it had some yellowish leaves and needed repotted. I repotted it into a very large pot (maybe too big?) with some sandy soil (John Innes no.3) and perlite and also some broken pottery at the bottom of the pot to allow good drainage. I gave it some Palmbooster too. It seemed ok, but over the last few days the yellow leaves are a lot more yellow and somewhat crispy. I was worried it had a magnesium deficiency so I gave it some Palmfocus and watered it very well. It has a new leaf which is growing in green so far.

Will it survive? Was I stupid to fertilise it after recently repotting it?

how much sun and water are you giving it?

Carlsbad, California Zone 10 B on the hill (402 ft. elevation)

Sunset zone 24

It's right next to a window so it gets a good bit of sun and daylight, but not too much. I have only had it about a week and I've watered it about two-three times since it has been recently repotted. I'm going to lay off the watering for a while though.

I should also mention it was kept outside before I bought it.

I was guessing it has a magnesium deficiency because of the yellow at the sides.post-15101-0-13199500-1441169261_thumb.jpost-15101-0-03565900-1441169288_thumb.jpost-15101-0-20570000-1441169313_thumb.j
