Palms along the countryside of Grenada!

I took a little road trip up the east coast of Grenada today. This side faces the Atlantic, so the water is more turbulent, but the views are still stunning. The island is only 10 x 20 miles, but it still takes a few hours to go up the side of the island since the roads are very narrow and circuitous!

Coconuts lining some agricultural patches. The countless islands towards the horizon make up the Grenadines.

Quite a common scene… I'm guessing this is a remnant of Hurricane Ivan damage in 2004.

I'm glad you guys liked the photos! I really can't believe I live in a place quite like this. I don't get many opportunities to go out and enjoy its natural beauty, but when I do, I love sharing it through photos! I only know of one spot in Grenada where people surf, but I have never seen waves more than about 3 to 4 feet. They wrap around a point and come in at nice intervals though.
