Looks like it's doubled it's size.:D I assume this is a Patric(k) Shafer hybrid. You are lucky to own one. It is not on the last list I got from him (3-15). BTW how is your J x Q doing?

Hi 79, Lo 52

It is...  and quite a beautiful hybrid..  I am very pleased.  The J x Q is doing well..  this week I will post an update thread.  I think it struggled a bit with its location and the heat but it looks as it is starting to grow quickly now.  I cant remember or not..  did you get a J x Q or was it a B x PT?

Does it have any hooked leaves?

Let me take a closer look..  Ill take a few pics and get back to you..

I bought a small liner of J x Q in 10-14, and a large one (4" liner) last month. Of the Butia hybrids: I own 2 B x PJs (sunkha), a Butia paraguayensis x PJc, a B x PJc, and a B x Q (mule). Only the mule has been permanently planted. I look forward to seeing how your J x Q is doing.

Yes we will see..  so far.. it has been the hardiest hybrid I have.  I love this plant!  I have more updates to add..  I have been a little slow getting organized.

I looked at most of the fronds and it appears to not have any...  What do you suppose it means ?

It is what I expected.  So far the only Jubaea hybrid that I have seen with hooked leaves are JxB F1's.  The B x J and BJxJ's that I have do not have hooked leaves either, nor do my JxS.
