How Bout a 'Color' thread?

We need a bit of color on the board. Post away!

I'll start with some Calyptrocalyx in the garden, all going off at the same time. Understory gems for any garden

if they will grow for you. 

C. leptostacyhs, C. pachystachys, and C. pachystachys 'mottled.'

Tim, we saw these all over in the forest on Sainte Marie, wonder who they are?    Plenty of color in these little understory palms.  Was this D. forticifolia?

I am visiting my parents in PA for a few days and we made a stop to Longwood Botanical Gardens in SE Pennsylvania outside of Philadelphia.  It has to be among the nicest botanical gardens out there.  I have a large number of photos to share, but I will leave you this one photo, taken in the conservatory for now.

Conservatory palms always look so perfect not being bothered from wind- love it. Here's one from the Missouri Botanical Gardens Conservatory (called the "Climatron"): they have a gorgeous to-die-for royal palm in there with a brown looking crownshaft.

Philippe, I will try and get some new photos this week.My highland garden is hard to photograph due to clouds , fog etc.but has a lot more interesting plants than my beach garden.

During my trip to S Fl last week I saw tons of trees loaded with these everywhere.  Loved it.
