20151112_160354.jpg[20151112_160354.jpg.htmlI am visiting my parents in PA for a few days and we made a stop to Longwood Botanical Gardens in SE Pennsylvania outside of Philadelphia.  It has to be among the nicest botanical gardens out there.  I have a large number of photos to share, but I will leave you this one photo, taken in the conservatory for now.URL]

I grew up near Longwood. What a cool botanical garden. Spent hours in the Palm House. Can't wait to see your photos.

The weight of lies will bring you down / And follow you to every town / Cause nothin happens here

That doesn't happen there / So when you run make sure you run / To something and not away from

Cause lies don't need an aero plane / To chase you anywhere

They are only babies and potted (and not really easy to maintain where I live), but nevertheless they already show some color:

We need a bit of color on the board. Post away!

I'll start with some Calyptrocalyx in the garden, all going off at the same time. Understory gems for any garden

if they will grow for you.

C. leptostacyhs, C. pachystachys, and C. pachystachys 'mottled.'

Hi Jon, they are about 3 1/2 years old from 1 gal. pots. They seed like crazy and I've got five more planted in this group. Takes a few years to get going, but

once past that stage they are steady growers. Great little palms.
