Not as deep a color as some palms, but a red tint all the same on the Burretiokentia koghiensis.

I'm gonna cheat and post 2.

Pardon the cat-proofing, but I still love the colors on my Spindle. It's one of a small handful of plants I brought with me and it seems happy in this spot. It gets afternoon sun from the west and north.

And these are new, gifted to me. Some Dypsis Cabadae and Areca Vestiaria babies. Can't decide if I should just keep them warm or split them up while they're still tiny. My track record with splitting palms is pretty terrible.

Boy richnorm, I never seen a Prestoea look anything like that one. A grove would do nicely!

Wandering in the yard today I noticed this Kentiopsis pyriformis.  This is the first red I've seen on it.  Been in the ground a little over a year in the shade of a white shower tree.  Perhaps it will look better tomorrow as it opens more.Kentiopsispyriformis-20231127_140051.thumb.jpg.5d898b77765bb12d0347372aa9240eee.jpg

Also noticed some really nice color on my Kentiopsis Pyriformis. It started opening red a couple weeks ago and has mellowed out into a beautiful orange/bronze color.

Leaving this here in the color thread. This is a two-and-a-half-year-old Archontophoenix Maxima throwing a rose-tinted frond in northeast Florida.

Lemurophoenix, a beauty and beast of a palm. Growing fast these days, dropping a frond about every eight weeks.

One of the germinated seeds of euterpe edulis orange crownshaft. Already from this stage it wants to show some colour.

Probably a gamble with the import requirement now but my last overseas order didn’t even seem to be checked so maybe worth it if you have some spare. How could I say no having seen the above!

Hi,

this newest leaf took weeks to unfold - which finally happened yesterday...

(As always...) C. macrocarpa

Calyptrocalyx leptostachys, just an amazing little palm. That pink/rose color varies from specimen to specimen.

Tim,

What a beauty!

Images like that let me order a couple of seeds of this species when they were availabe at rps two years ago...

Unfortunately almost nothing happened with all my different Calyptrocalyx seeds except this one -

cl001.thumb.jpg.142ff8cc4d9d60d47e97786741e38125.jpg

..my one ond only (so far sprouted) C. leptostachys.

I love the way it looks and I am still not daring to plant it out.

However - thank you for posting!

Thanks Lars, too bad you didn’t have better luck. I’m wondering if your photo isn’t C. pachystachys which usually shows that kind of mottling even as a seedling. C. leptostachys doesn’t typically show any mottling at any age.

Tim,

my bad - you were correct. My one is very likely a C. pachystachys...

I must have mixed up the label when potting up.

Thank you for clarifying!

Yet another one, Chambeyronia divaricata. These are not fast growers, at least in my garden. Maybe others in similar climate zones have had a different experience.

Great new leaf color.

Leaving the palm family but some spectacular color IMO.   This one reminds me of a vinyl album...remember those?  Deep Purple "In Rock" which I still have from the first release in 1970.

Dypsis mirabilis. Upon reading the ‘Comments’ paragraph on a reference site that described this as a, ‘rather ordinary looking palm’, I beg to differ, IMO.
