I bought a lot of about 400 of these that not one germinated - opened a few up - they were all black/rotten inside. 

(They floated when I got them, and was actually told that that is normal for this species??) 

I'd love to try some "real" viable seeds too.

Mine don't float and they germinate. The embry is a clear/white/translucent color.    I have found that Bismarkia must be fresh as they loose their viability quicker than most species.

They were supposedly fresh - but they did float - my guess is they were not fertile to begin with. I'll PM you.
