Variegated Trachycarpus

If there are Trachycarpus with seeds in your area, you could try sowing every seed on the tree and see what pops up.

I had a variegated Chamaedorea microspadix sprout, but I unfortunately lost it.

I was looking through my plants today and I noticed what looks to be a variegated Cretan Date Palm.  It is still a juvenile but I'm excited to see what it looks like in a few more months. I have germinated a few thousand Trachycarpus seeds and I am bound to have one eventually.

BOOM! I actually managed to germinate one. This is a waggy x nanital f1 hybrid. Here is a pic from a week ago, the color on it today looked much morr defined.

Did that variegated seedling make it?🤞 I’d love to see an updated picture now that it’s been a few years. I’m thinking about starting a bunch of trachycarpus seeds and just hope that I get a variegated one.
