Dioscorea discolor is a synonym of Dioscorea dodecaneura. Apparently a native of Bolivia, but no reason it couldn't also be a native in adjacent areas of Brazil. I have 3 different Dioscoreas but none with colour in the leaves. That would be a nice one to have around.

Don't forget that most Dioscorea are pretty versatile (read: invasive) so a bird or other animal (including humans) could very easily have introduced it. Dioscorea with patterned leaves are indeed rare, but many species have a nice red or orange coloration in new growth.
