These really do great here.  I planted one for a neighbor in unamended clay, and it's in about 2/3 day sun (though it could take more).  It only gets supplemental water with a hose, once every few weeks.  It doesn't get big, and grows at an average speed where I have it - but I know they grow faster in some parts.

I now have one left

such an awesome palm. Looks great, drought tolerant, no thorns on the petioles, doesn't take up too much space...

Oh yeah.  I have a few.  Not as big as yours but have one or two decent size.

I figured you were. How many species are you growing in your garden. I'm guessing your garden has 60+?

I know DoomsDave was looking for another last time I went to visit him.. Not sure if he was looking for 1 this big, but he has a really nice full grown in his Paradise O Palm garden and told me few months ago he wanted another.   I have a 5 Ga but no where to put it.  Have this Palm and an Armata that I have no more full sun spots to put them. Love this Palm! As I love the Blue Silver.  Id take it, but Im saving up to get another COCO Queen from ya :D

I have a few 25g-36" box super silvers and I must say they are very attractive and stay very silver even in shaded areas where armata will hue green.  These are great palms and every enthusiast should have at least one.
